Electrical Systems Engineer

To provide design engineering support for the application, quoting and implementation of the systems business by performing the duties specified below, with a focus on automation, control and fluid power technologies. These responsibilities will be carried out in a manner consistent with the goals and standards of Kaman Fluid Power Engineered Solutions Group.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Quote, design and implementation of systems (electrical, control, automation, hydraulic power, valve stands, process systems etc.)
Review customer requirements in order to prepare quotations and proposals for our systems business
Review incoming orders
Selection of components
Generate Bills of Material
Generate drawings using AutoCAD or electronic drawing package
Schematic
Layout
Arrange and faciliate initial Kickoff meeting for related projects
Determine method, procedure and conditions for testing systems
Ensure the designed system conforms to functional specifications of system requirements
Prepare Operation & Maintenance Manual when necessary
Start up assistance as required
Travel to customer sites to obtain necessary information for accurate designs and for startup and support
Support organization with the necessary technical information and advice regarding the application of the products and systems
Attend such training programs as are needed to keep current with technological advances and maintain certification as appropriate
